The best time to visit the Sacred Monkey Forest is early in the morning, right when it opens. This allows you to avoid the larger crowds and enjoy the cooler temperatures before the midday sun takes over. The monkeys are particularly active during this time, as they wake up and start their day.

If you’re looking for a quieter experience, try visiting during the off-peak season (typically April through June or September through November). Remember, visiting in the early hours will also allow you to see the monkeys in their most natural and playful state.

From Ubud Centre: The Monkey Forest is only a 15-minute walk from Ubud’s main street. For those who prefer not to walk, there are shuttle buses running every 15 minutes from various points in the town, or you can opt for a short motorbike ride.
